Privacy Policy
BOMUL Camera (“the app”) does not collect your personal data. This policy explains which data the app touches, where it stays, and the single case in which it goes online.
Summary
No account, no uploads, no ads, no third-party analytics. Your photos, videos and recipes stay on your device. The app connects to the network only when you tap “Check for content updates” to fetch new filter files.
What we do not collect
The app does not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts or advertising identifiers, and does not build profiles or track you across apps. Its App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected”, matching the privacy manifest (PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy) shipped in the binary.
Data that stays on your device
Photos and videos you capture or edit are saved to your system photo library only if you choose to save them. Custom recipes, favorites and interface preferences live in local storage and are deleted when you delete the app. None of it leaves the device, and we cannot access it.
Camera, microphone and photo library
Camera access is used for the viewfinder and capture; microphone access only while recording video; photo library access to import the items you select and to save results. All processing happens on the device — granting a permission never causes an upload.
The one network request: content updates
When you tap “Check for content updates” in Settings, the app makes an HTTPS request to the content delivery endpoint (Cloudflare R2) and downloads the definition and LUT files for new filters. The request carries no account or device identifier. As with any website request, the delivery provider's server logs may briefly record the IP address and timestamp for delivery and abuse prevention. If no content update endpoint is configured, the app runs entirely offline.
Purchases
Purchases, refunds and Family Sharing are handled entirely by Apple's App Store and StoreKit. The app never sees or stores payment details; it only learns from the system whether the purchase exists.
Crash and performance data
The app uses Apple's MetricKit to receive performance and crash summaries on the device. It does not send them to any server of ours. Whether system-level diagnostics are shared with developers is controlled by iOS under Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements, which is Apple's mechanism.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children — it collects none from anyone.
Third parties
No advertising, analytics or attribution SDKs are integrated. The open-source components used (MetalPetal, VideoIO, the DSEG7 typeface) are local rendering libraries and make no network requests.
This website
This site is plain static HTML with no cookies and no third-party analytics, and the fonts are served from the same origin. The hosting provider's server logs may record visitor IP addresses and timestamps as usual.
Changes
If a future version changes how data is handled, this page and its effective date will be updated and the App Store privacy label will be kept in sync.
